The Owen Sound Attack Inc.

The Owen Sound Attack are a major junior hockey team based in Owen Sound and compete in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), one of the premier development leagues in the world and a key part of the Canadian Hockey League. The team plays its home games at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre and has been a cornerstone of Grey-Bruce sports and community pride since adopting the Attack name in 2000. Known as the OHL's smallest-market franchise, the Attack have built a reputation for developing elite hockey talent while maintaining one of the most passionate and loyal fan bases in junior hockey. Despite competing against teams from much larger cities, the organization consistently punches above its weight both on and off the ice. The franchise traces its roots to the Owen Sound Platers, who relocated to Owen Sound in 1989. In 2000, a group of local business leaders purchased the team to ensure it remained in the community, rebranding it as the Owen Sound Attack and preserving major junior hockey in the Scenic City. The organization's greatest achievement came in 2011 when the Attack captured their first OHL Championship, cementing their place in Owen Sound sports history. Over the years, the club has developed numerous NHL players, including Nick Suzuki, Bobby Ryan, Jordan Binnington, Kirk Maltby, and Andrew Brun
